720p or 1080p LCD HDTV?
Im about to purchase a descent 26'' or 32'' LCD tv for my xbox 360 which i connect using the Dynex HDMI cable for the 360 I bought at BestBuy cause im using a 22'' 720p LCD and the simply problem is it looks choppy and jagged when i play Halo 3 or just contained by general on the 360. But will it make a difference if i buy a 1080p or is it only just my tv? It mite be cheap bottom of line made by DYNEX, or does that even matter? Or is it the 720p? People influence u cant tell the difference between the both. Can You? And does 1080p affect reaction time? My 720p have no delayWHATSOEVER!
Answers: 1080p compared to 720p resolution doesnt brand much difference in picture quality, excepy MAYBE within tvs sizes 42 and up
Rather than looking at the resolution look at the contrast ratio (something like 15,000:1)
It helps catch more vivid clearer colors on the screen
go 1080, its sophisticated rez, although since it is higher rez, it will show defects surrounded by video feed easier than the 720
1080 will make the picture more crisp but won't help beside the jumping or choppy play. you will need a peak that runs hat 120hz or 240hz but it will cost more
You will not be able to SEE the difference between 720 and 1080 on a 26" or a 32" set. Not even if you enjoy Superman's eyes! No way. The resolution has no effect on the response rate of the TV. If you are a gamer, you want a set with a short response time; the shorter the better---like 3 milliseconds.
Your current problem is your crappy Dynex tv. It's pretty much the bottom of the barrel, resembling Apex. It probably has a response time of something like 7 - 10 milliseconds.
yes 1080p is perfectly clear, no rough edges. im not sure if reaction time is affected or not. my 720p tv have perfect reaction and pretty apposite picture, but if i hook it up to my 1080p tv in the living room it has horrible allergic reaction time. but that might just be because its a crappy RCA. not sure tho1080p is the best
